I believe that knowledge and education can empower people and will lead to a significant improvement in our world. I was born in Portugal and currently live in Munich, Germany.

As a Neuroscientist I am using several methods, including high-resolution behavioral tracking, neuronal imaging, molecular and machine learning approaches to study behavioral choice in zebrafish larvae.

I love teaching and to work in a team to solve complex questions. I am also a strong supporter of open source tools, accessible to people around the world to tackle their own challenges
